Title: Work Control Coordinator Location: Springfield VA 22151 (Hybrid 1-2 days / week)Duration: Long term contract / Contract to hire (Open for both)Responsibilities:Develops, coordinates, and maintains the Annual Work Plan for Washington Gas, coordinating Gas Operations budget, resource projections and forecasted work. Determine baseline manpower and project funding resource requirements and recommend resource decisions balancing both operational requirements and financial implications. Requires coordination of a large geographically dispersed work force and a large contingent of additional contract.• Manages the common scheduling and forecasting templates and implements improvements.• Provide data analytics for work Resource planning functions, including the development and management of monthly performance indicators, and development of a process to capture actual hours per job.• Lead a process improvement initiative to implement a scheduling / project management tool to track both short- and long-term work and project objectives to meet the Company’s performance indicators.• Develops and chairs, (as the Director’s delegate), the monthly performance review meeting. This meeting is attended by all stakeholders in the work resource planning process.• Requires regular contact with senior management, directors, managers and employees in Asset Management, Operations, Supply, and Project and Contract Management• Interface with other departments and stakeholders in Washington Gas to represent Resource Management regarding process and procedural issues. • Support a learning organization that fosters a high-performance culture and promotes diversity and inclusion. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered including timely recognition of employees. Use effective performance management to provide accurate and timely feedback and identify opportunities for growth and learning.Skills and AbilitiesRequired:- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or data analytics and 2 years of relevant utility business experience, or in lieu of bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years relevant utility business experience.
- Working knowledge of work scheduling.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with ARM, Smallworld, Geotab, SAP and WMIS.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, achieve deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to execute independent judgment.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with all levels of management.
- Ability to travel throughout Washington Gas service territory as required.
- Strong leadership abilities. Demonstrated conflict management skills
Preferred:- Process Improvement experience.
- Experience using: ARM, Smallworld, Geotab, SAP, WMIS.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
- Project management, Engineering and/or operations experience.
- Experience in Resource Management.
- Experience in Primavera P6 and/or other scheduling tools.
